DUNGOG Showground is hosting the Hunter and Coastal Regional Scout Corroboree camp this week.
More than 250 Scouts are attending the event, representing the Hunter and Coastal Region as well as Sydney, the Blue Mountains and other areas of NSW.
In addition, around 100 Scout leaders will be busy organising and keeping an eye on activities.
The camp runs from Wednesday 14 January to this Sunday, 18 January.
Activities will include canoeing and raft building at Clarence Town, followed by an overnight bivouac on a riverside property in the area.
There will also be a Dungog town tour, a Landcare activity at Dungog, as well as activities at the showground.
These will include a climbing wall, camel rides, a MasterChef competition, campsite sideshows and fireworks.
Most of the visitors will be seen out and about around Dungog and Clarence Town.
