IT was a miserable drizzly day on Tuesday 7 July for the Gloucester Veteran Golfers regular outing, though not sufficiently so to prevent an outstanding win by Peter McIntyre, a full five points ahead of his nearest rival.
The event, sponsored by Hugh Torode, was an Individual Stableford and the winner with a handsome 38 points was Peter McIntyre. Balls were won by Carolyn Davies 33, Will Bosma and Anne Wand 32, and by Karen Howarth and Mark Stone 31.
The Nearest-to-the-Pin trophies at the 4th and 13th holes were won by Carolyn Davies and Trevor Sharp. At the 6th and 15th that honour went to Karen Howarth and Ken Kelly.
On Tuesday 14 July the Gloucester Veterans were due to play an Individual Stoke event and next Tuesday, 21 July, there will be another Individual Stableford.
