Harrison Wins Women’s Golf

IT WAS a small field for the Gloucester Golf Ladies last Wednesday, 29 July, although those who ventured out in the crisp morning air enjoyed a day of warm sunshine and some great scores with Lesly Harrison leading the field.

The event was an Individual Stableford event and Lesly Harrison was on fire, racking up a grand total of 42 Stableford points including sinking a long birdie putt on the 6th hole.
Her playing partner Alison Windeyer also played well, inside her handicap with 38 points. Both won a colourful tray of fruit and vegetables for their efforts.  Balls went to Carolyn Davies, 37, Margaret Dunn, 35 and Gai Falla 30.
Carolyn Davies took out the Nearest-to-the-Pin prize at the 4th and 13th holes, while Gai Falla was closest to the hole on the 6th and 15th holes

This Wednesday, 5 August, the Gloucester Golf Ladies will be playing a Two Person Ambrose. The following Wednesday, 12 August, they will play a WGNSW Medal, an Individual Stroke event.
