Gloucester Lady Bowls results

ONCE again a lovely warm winter day welcomed the ladies for three games of social play at Gloucester Bowling Club with the selectors issuing a novel challenge.

Bowlers were charged with the task of counting the bowls of those who were closest the ditch without rolling into the same on each end.

Two games of triples and one of pairs were drawn:

Val Smith, Julie Kriss and Judy Sheely defeated Di Neilson, Val Pritchard and Jenny Burley 19/14.

Debbie English, Joy Hurworth and Bev Germon defeated Gina Dalmulder, Ruth Redman and Di Pritchard 13/11.

In the Pairs, Penny Gibson and Jenny Stevens played a 16-all draw against Suzanne Cross and Kerrie Green.

As to winners of the closest bowls staying out of the ditch, that honour went to the two Jennys – Stevens 10 and Burley 5.
