THE Gloucester Veteran Golfers turned out in a moderate sized field and in fine sunny weather on Tuesday, 21 October to showcase a monster score by Amanda Robertson with a four-point lead over the field.
The event was an Individual Stableford and the winner with a huge 45 points was Amana Robertson. Ball winners were led by Trebor Sharp, 41, who was followed by Brian McInnes, 38, Dale Rabbett, Derek Bardwell and Carolyn Davies 37 with the last ball trophy to Peter McIntryre, 36.
The Nearest-to-the-Pin trophies at the 4th and 13th holes were won by Karen Howarth and Trevor Sharp with Roy Crichton the only winner at the 6th and 15th holes.
On Tuesday this week, 28 October, the Veteran Golfers played an Individual Stroke event sponsored by Carol and Trevor Sharp. Next week the Veteran Golfers turn out on the Monday, 3 November, to avoid the Melbourne Cup on the Tuesday, in an Individual Stableford sponsored by Carolyn Davies.
