Gloucester CWA Evening Branch continue Christmas cake tradition

GLOUCESTER CWA Evening Branch members held a successful cake and pudding stall on Saturday 13 December.

They cooked the usual Christmas favourites, and while most items sold quickly, there are a few Christmas Puddings and some Rocky Road still available.

The Branch has donated to the five schools in the Gloucester area to assist with their annual end of year presentations.

Donations have also been made to both the ladies Cancer Support Group and the Prostate Support Group in Gloucester.

These funds are the result of the successful annual Cancer Breakfast which was held in October.

Co-media Officer Barbara Reichert told News Of The Area that 65 people attended the event where patrons were served cereal, juice, toast, scrambled eggs and bacon.

“People were very complimentary about our effort,” she said.

In June, the Branch also had a successful Trash and Treasure stall and cake stall.

Barbara told NOTA,”The Gloucester community has been generous in its support of our fundraisers..

“We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and thank them for their support in 2025.
“We look forward to another great year in 2026.”

Meantime, if you are time-poor, you can phone Barbara on 0407 936 515 to get a pudding for Christmas.
