McIntyre in Vets Golf win

THE Gloucester Veteran Golfers turned out in numbers on Tuesday 10 March on a fine day to see Peter McIntyre take the top prize in a close win.

The event was an Individual Stableford sponsored by Cathy and Denver Webb. The winner by one Stableford point was Peter McIntyre, 37. Runner up on a count back was Trevor Sharp 37 and he was followed by ball winners Steve Hurworth 36, Will Bosma, Hugh Torode 34, Mark Stone, Carolyn Davies 33 and Ken Howlett 32.

The Nearest-to-the-Pin trophy at the 4^th and 13^th holes was won by Steve Hurworth who back up for another such trophy at the 6^th and 15^th holes, an honour he shared with Carolyn Davies.

Last Tuesday 17 March the Gloucester Veteran Golfers were due to play a Four Ball Aggregate event sponsored by Karen Howarth. Next Tuesday, 24 March, there is scheduled an Individual Stroke event sponsored by Amanda Robertson.
