THE Gloucester Golf Ladies played their first Monthly Medal for the year last Wednesday, 1 April, with the sun shining and a gentle breeze.
The Monthly Medal winner was a very proud Anne Maggs with a brilliant score of 40 points to win across the field. Anne also won Division 2, while Karen Howarth won Division 1 with another great score of 37 points. The day was sponsored by the Ladies Captain, Pat Burrows.
Balls went to Carolyn Davies, 35, and Cheryl Goodrich and Evelyn Blanch both on 34.
Carolyn Davies won the Nearest-to-the-Pin prize at the 4th and 13th holes, while Anne Maggs was on target, taking out the prize for Division 2 on the 6th and 15th holes.
The Gloucester Golf Ladies will play the first round of their Match Play Championship Wednesday 8 April with the second round played on Wednesday 15 April.
The Gloucester Golf Ladies hosted the District Pennants on Monday 30 March, with teams from Port Macquarie, Emerald Downs, Forster/Tuncurry, Wauchope and Tallwoods competing.
