THE sun shone for much of the morning when the Gloucester Golf Ladies played a Four Ball Better Ball event on Wednesday, 8 July, with Dale Rabbett and Gai Falla winning the day.
The good weather was reflected in the scores, with the Four Ball winners Dale Rabbett and Gai Falla combining well to score 45 points. Dale and Gai won vouchers from sponsor H & J Sports, the new sports store in Gloucester.
The prizes were shared around the players, with the individual winners with 36 points each; Jo Richardson, a regular visitor from Forster/Tuncurry) won Division 1 with Cheryl Goodrich taking out Division 2. Balls were won by Dale Rabbett and Gai Falla 35, Carolyn Davies 34, and Debbie Sate 32.
Carolyn Davies took out the Nearest-to-the-Pin prize at the 4th and 13th holes and doubled up in Division 1 at the 6th and 15th holes where she was joined by Julie Paterson for Division 2, with a straight shot which never looked like missing the green.
On Wednesday 15 July the Gloucester Golf Ladies will play a WGNSW Medal event in the form of an Individual Stroke. Next Wednesday, 22 July, there will be a Par event.
