Torode records big win in Gloucester Veterans golf

IT was raining early but dry enough for play on Tuesday, 27 October, with Hugh Torode turning in a huge score in Gloucester Veteran Golfers’ outing.

Torode took out the Individual Stableford with a very handy 44 points, eight better than handicap.

Balls were won by Max Shepherd 40, John Herd 37, Arthur Poynting 36, and Paul Griffiths 35, after a countback.

The nearest-to-the-pin trophy at the 4th and 13th holes was won by Peter Sate, with Mark Stone doing the job at the 6th and 15th holes.

The Gloucester Veterans played an Individual Stableford on Monday, 2 November. This coming Tuesday (10 November), they’ll play an Individual v Par event.
