RAYMOND Terrace Athletics Centre is celebrating its 50th anniversary Jubilee this year.
The centre has produced an array of track and field champions during a proud history that has spanned five decades in the Port Stephens region.
To mark the milestone, the club has organised a 50th Anniversary Dinner on 5 December with officials keen to reconnect with former athletes and committee members.
As well as encouraging past members to join them for this special occasion, they are hoping some might be willing to lend memorabilia for display on the night.
Club officials are also keen to hear of their fond memories, stories and achievements from their time at Raymond Terrace Athletics, helping to celebrate the people and experiences that have shaped the centre over half a century.
Online bookings for the dinner have opened and included in the ticket price is a choice of a commemorative schooner glass, stemless wine glass or stubby cooler.
Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Port Hunter Zone Athletics Championships, which the centre will host on the David Marsh Athletics Track this month.
The season is shaping up to be a memorable anniversary, and Raymond Terrace Athletics looks forward to celebrating 50 years of athletics, community spirit and lasting friendships with those who have been part of their journey.
