IT WAS a cool, sunny and generally pleasant morning for the Gloucester Veteran Golfers on Tuesday 14 July with Carolyn Davies taking the top prize on the day albeit with a pack of fellow players close at heel.
The occasion was an Individual Stroke event sponsored by Gai Falla and the winner, in a medium sized field was Carolyn Davies with an under-par net round of 70. Runner up on a count back was Tony Berecry 71 and he was followed by two additional players on that same score: Johanna Ware and Roy Crichton. The remaining ball winners were Will Bosma 75, Liam Wamsley 76, with Trevor Sharp and Derek Wand picking up the last two ball with their 77 each. The top putter on the day was Cariolyn Davies, 27, … on a count back.
The Nearest-to-the-Pin trophies at the 6th and 15th holes were won by Debbie Sate and Greg Young.
On Tuesday 21 July the Gloucester Veteran Golfers were due to play an Individual Stableford sponsored by Gary Peters. Next Tuesday, 28 July, they will play another Individual Stableford this time sponsored by Max Shepherd.
