Macdonald, Murray, Badham in Golf Wins

SATURDAY 13 December the Gloucester Golf Club played an Individual Stableford with wins to Steve Macdonald, Brendon Murray and Andrew Badham in the three grades.

The day itself developed from a cooler cloudy morning to a warmer steamy day for the later starters.

The winner in A grade was Steve MacDonald with 36 Stableford points. In B grade it was Brendon Murray, 38, with the win.

Andrew Badham shared the top score of 39 across the field winning C grade on a countback from Blake Murray also on 39. Balls were won by Andrew Badham, Blake Murray, 39, Brendon Murray 38, Dennis Walmsley 37, and Steve Macdonald and Dave Saunders 36.

The Nearest-to-the-Pin trophies at the 4th and 13th holes were won by Trevor Sharp in B grade who finished 1529 cm from the hole and Andrew Badham, 651 cm in C grade.

At the 6th and 15th holes A grade’s best was Steve MacDonald, 417 cm; in B grade it was Paul Garland, 437 cm and in C grade, Peter Markey, 140 cm.

The long drives at the 8th and 17th holes were won in the three grades by Ross Edwards, Wayne Maddalena and Blake Murray.

The Super Sevens for the week ending Friday 12 December was won by Dave Mann with 18 points.

Balls were won by Paul Blanch and Max Shepherd 17, Peter Markey 16, and, on a count back, Paul Thibault 15.

This coming Saturday 20 December is the Annual IGA Christmas Cheer Day, and the following Saturday the Veteran Golfers sponsor a Four Ball Better Ball Stableford.
