THE Gloucester Golf Ladies played a Fourball Aggregate Stableford event last Wednesday 11 March.
The temperature was in the thirties, with a slight breeze to cool the golfers down.
The winners were Liane Markey and Julie Paterson with an aggregate score of 70 points, well ahead of the rest of the field. They both won a lovely plant from the sponsor of the day, Cheryl Goodrich. Balls went to Elaine Murray and Cheryl Goodrich on 60 points, and to Margaret Dunn and Julie Paterson, 59.
Carolyn Davies won the Nearest-to the-Pin prize on the 4th and 13th holes, while Pat Burrows took the prize for Division 2 on the 6th and 15th holes.
The Gloucester Golf Ladies pennant team is off to a perfect start to the season, with another close win on Monday 9 March. This time the 3-2 win was played against Port Macquarie Diamonds at Tallwoods, with Anne Wand, Debbie Sate and Cheryl Goodrich winning their matches.
The Gloucester Golf Ladies will play an Individual Stableford event on Wednesday 18 March with the field expected to be on the light side with some players supporting the Bulahdelah Ladies Open Day that day. Next Wednesday 25 March there will be the first round of the WGNSW Medal, an Individual Stroke event.
