Westpac Helicopter Gloucester golf day success

Saturday 27 June at the Gloucester Golf Club saw the club host its annual Westpac Helicopter Charity Day with a full field of golfers all keen to enjoy the conditions and contribute to a worthy cause.

The event was a Four Person Ambrose and the winning team comprised Jamie Andrews, John Cornelius, Ryan Yates and Scott Atkinson, who scored an impressive 56.375 after handicap. Runners- up were Rob Moore, Brendan Colville, Fred Rimoni and Gareth Rimoni, two strokes back at 58.375.

The Super Sevens for the week ending Friday 26 June was won by Ken Kelly, 15, on a count-back from the leading ball winner Dave Mann 15, with the remaining ball in a small field won by Rob Moore 14.

Next Saturday, 4 July, the Gloucester Club will be playing its Monthly Medal – an Individual Stroke sponsored by Arkwood Organic Recycling.

The following Saturday there will be the club’s Men’s Foursomes Championships.
