FOR the second year in a row, Gloucester has been awarded the bronze medal for NSW Top Tourism town, for small towns with a population between 1500 and 5000.
The competition is open to all towns across the state.
The awards program, run by the NSW Tourism Association, brings a focus to regional tourism – highlighting gems from coast to country, outback, mountains and river communities.
It also recognises the work of the tour guides that bring these towns to life.
The 2025 winners were announced at the recent Local Government NSW Destination and Visitor Economy Conference in Tweed Heads.
“These awards are the culmination of a submission process that demonstrates excellence in tourism storytelling, visitor appeal and community collaboration,” said Destination NSW.
“They also include a consumer element – incorporating reviews and votes for people’s favourite destinations.
“The outcome recognises the state’s most outstanding towns, each consistently delivering warm hospitality.”
Merimbula won gold, with silver going to Robertson.
