THE Gloucester Golf Ladies were happy to play a round of Stableford last Wednesday, 1 July, after completing three tough rounds of stroke play for their Championships over the previous weeks.
It was time for another Monthly Medal, generously sponsored by Nannas on a perfect day to play golf with the fog rising early, followed by warm sunshine.
Anne Wand won the Monthly Medal with a solid score of 33 points, including two “gobblers” when she holed shots from off the green. Gai Falla was again in the position of lamenting that missed putt which left her one shot behind on 32 points. She was joined in the ball rundown by Margaret Dunn, 32 and Rhonda Nightingale, 31.
The Nearest-to-the-Pin prizes were won at the 4th and 13th holes by Gai Falla, and at the 6th and 15th holes by Evelyn Blanch.
On Wednesday 8 July the Gloucester Golf Ladies play a Four Ball Better Ball Stableford and next Wednesday 15 July they will play an Individual Stroke event.
