Forster food safety seminar designed to keep staff compliant on standards

DO you operate a food business or work in the food industry on the Mid North Coast?

A free seminar in Forster next month will help the region’s businesses stay up to date with food safety requirements and equip their staff with the latest food safety knowledge.

It’s designed to be a refresher for experienced food handlers, including chefs, cooks, kitchen hands and wait staff, according to a spokesperson for MidCoast Council, which is staging the seminar.

“The seminar will feature a line-up of expert presenters with over 50 years’ combined experience in food safety,” the spokesperson said.

“It will help businesses work towards an excellent ‘Scores on Doors’ rating, which is widely recognised in the food industry and great for building customer confidence.”

Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance, helping ensure staff are compliant with Standards Code 3.2.2A.

The seminar will be held  at Forster Civic Centre on Tuesday, 24 November from 2pm to 5pm.
