THE evening of Thursday 1 October was not only a fine Spring evening but the occasion for the welcome return of Night Golf organised by the Gloucester Veteran Golfers.
The evet was played as a Four Person Ambrose over nine par-3 holes especially set out for the occasion.
The winning team with a net score of 9.5 comprised Sally Higgins, Ele Fraser, Karen Howarth and Tony Berecry. In second place just half a stroke behind were Tom Markey, Peter Markey, Scott Atkinson and Josh Wilson, 10. Myrelle Fraser, Anne Wand, Anne Maggs and Dale Rabbett finished in third place with a net score of 10.85.
Originating in the days of the COVID lockdown, Night Golf looks set to become part of the innovative tradition at the Gloucester Golf Club.
