THE Gloucester Veteran Golfers turned out in modest numbers in warm and drizzly conditions on Tuesday 18 August for their regular outing with Peter McIntyre turning in a handy two-under-par score to win the day.
The event was a Rick Paff sponsored Individual Stroke with and associated Putting competition. The winner was Peter McIntyre with a net score of 70 and he was followed home by ball winners Will Bosma, Hugh Torode and Peter Buettel, each scoring 71, with the last two balls won by Debbie Sate, 72, and Steve Hurworth 73.
Arthur Poynting had the least number of putts in his round with just 27 putts all up.
The Nearest-to-the-Pin trophy at the 4th and 13th holes was won by Peter McIntyre and, at the 6th and 15th holes it was Roy Crichton best off the tee.
On Tuesday 25 August Ele Fraser sponsored Veteran Golfers Individual Stableford and next Tuesday, 1 August, the Gloucester Veterans will play an Ambrose event.
