STUDENTS from the class of 2025 at Gloucester High School celebrated their HSC results and achievements with the school’s teachers and relieving Principal, Mik Wisely.

“It is with great pride that we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our 2025 HSC cohort,” said Mr Wisely after receiving the 2025 HSC results.

An analysis of the examination results demonstrate that Mr Wisely’s pride was certainly not misplaced, with students earning five Band-6s and 24 Band-5s across their HSC results.

Band-6 means a mark of 90 or above, and Band-5, 80 or above.

16 students secured early entry to university in diverse fields including Nursing, Geology, Radiography, Biomedical Science, Computer Science, Marine Science, History, and Teaching.

“Attaining a Band-6 is a significant accomplishment, with these students being placed in the top 10 percent across NSW, ” added Mr Wisley.

“Band-6 distinctions were awarded in Community and Family Studies, Hospitality, Industrial Technology – Timber, and Music (with two Band-6s).

“Band-5 results were achieved across a range of subjects including Agriculture, Business Studies, Community and Family Studies, Hospitality, Industrial Technology, Investigating Science, Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Standard, Music, PDHPE, Primary Industries, and Visual Arts.”

One student who achieved Band-6 results in two subjects was Xavier Soupidis.

“I was stoked by my HSC results, especially in music and timber,” said Xavier.

“I’ve got a few offers, and I plan to study history and perhaps music, hopefully at the Sydney Conservatorium of music, but I intend to take next year off and travel overseas to get some exposure to the real world.”

The 2025 students also received 86 Band-4 results or above, which according to Mr Wisely, underscores the depth of talent and hard work across all subject areas.

“These outcomes are a testament not only to our students’ commitment, but also to the supportive environment provided at Gloucester High School,” said Mr Wisely.

Mr Wisely explained that the results reflect countless hours of study, perseverance, and a strong commitment to learning.

“We are confident that these students are well-equipped to pursue their chosen pathways, whether it be further education, vocational training, or entering the workforce.”

He also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the dedicated teaching and support staff.

“Their passion, guidance, and commitment to each individual student have played an integral role in supporting these outcomes.”
