THERE were four standout scores turned in by the Gloucester Veteran Golfers on Tuesday 30 December with Paul Thibault heading the leader board.
The event was an Individual Stableford which as usual at this time of the year attracted a good-sized field thanks in part to some very welcome visitors to the course.
The winner with 40 Stableford points was Paul Thibault. He was closely followed on 39 points by three players leading the day’s ball winners: Gai Falla, Trevor Sharp and Jim Dunn 39, visitor Selina Pile was next with 36 points, followed by Paul Griffiths and Bill Murray 35, with the last two balls to Anne Wand and Roy Crichton 33
The Nearest-to-the-Pin trophies at the 4th and 13th holes was won by Gai Falla and Chris Steele. At the 6th and 15th holes that honour went to Dale Rabbett and Hugh Torode.
Tuesday of this week, 6 January, the Gloucester Veteran golfers played an Individual Stableford and next Tuesday there is another Individual Stableford sponsored by Dale Rabbett.
